Kids Everywhere Need You

Yesterday in class my teacher, Mrs. Benson, said that we are going to do a project. That project is to gather things like craft supplies and party favors. The, on the 12th of February we are going to give these items to our local kids shelter. We're also going to make Valentines for them.

Thinking about this made me wonder... how many kids are there that are, well, homeless?

I asked my teacher this question and she replied that our local kids shelter doesn't have enough room right now for all the kids.

If you give to your local animal shelter or any kind of shelter, you can make a difference. Even if all you give is a Valentine's Day Card it will still make a difference.

Recipe Reading

When I wrote on Saturday, I told you that I have nothing to write about. I still don't. That's why I've decided to post recipes when I have nothing to write about.

My first recipe comes from my favorite kids cookbook, Kids In The Kitchen. Almost all of my recipes will come from this cookbook. Here's the first recipe:

Breakfast Banana Split

  • 1 Banana

  • 1/2 cup your favorite crunchy cereal, divided

  • 1/2 cup fruit-flavored yogurt

  • 1/4 cup blueberries or strawberries, sliced

  • 1/4 cup pineapple chunks, drained

  • maraschino cherries (optional)

You'll need a butter knife, cereal bowl, spoon and measuring cups.

Peel the banana and cut down the middle lengthwise with a butter knife. Place banana in your cereal bowl. Sprinkle half of the cereal over the banana, but save the other half for sprinkling on top. Spoon the yougurt over the banana and cereal. Add the rest of the cereal and fruit on top. Add the cherries if you'd like.

This is a REALLY good quick, easy, weekend breakfest. If you were me, you would only use the strawberries and use strawberry yogurt. That makes it taste the best.

Oh, and Mimi, you can use bananas.

Bad Blogging

Alright. I have a few thing to say.

I have nothing to blog about.

I have no clue why yesterday the word "American" appeared yellow.

The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders are dumb. Yes. I watched Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader? last night. They weren't.

I am still sick.

Why doesn't Webkinz come out with a dolphin? I mean, how cute would that be?!?

I wish ebay would ship things quicker. I'm waiting on a prize!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Goodbye.

I Am So Very Sorry

I am extremely sorry that I didn't do a post yesterday. I am very, very sick and have an "unknown" virus.

Now... let me tell you some of my symptoms:

Horrible chest cough, sore throat, glassy eyes, tired every single second and sore almost everywhere. Did I mention the sore throat? Just checking.

Q: Why do people think they sing like Carrie Underwood when they sound like a dying rat? Just curious. I mean, some people on American Idol think they sound incredibly good, and they are, but... others sound (how do I word this right?) BAD.

Oh, by the way, do like the bold, big letters?

I Have Them

Yes. I do in fact have my braces in my mouth. Now, the story...

The dentist's helper was really nice. She told me to look up at the digital scrolling thing and it said, "Welcome New Patient, Princess". But it didn't say Princess. It said my name.

She put about 80 different things in my mouth to put some conditioner stuff on my teeth. It keeps my teeth under my braces from getting nasty. Then she put my braces on and bonded them and then she put the wire through and we were done. How amazing is that? It only took about an hour.

After that she asked me if I wanted my mom to listen to the stuff that I had to do to take care of them. Well of course! I'm not going to remember all of that stuff.

She gave me a bag of all kinds of utensils and stuff for school. I love freebies.

Really, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. It's pretty sore, but not like I thought.

I'm excited to go to school today and show my friends. My teacher will scream (she doesn't know that I got them).

Mouth Tauma: Today Is The Day

Today is the day. The day I have been counting down to. Today I get ( dare I say ) braces.

Yes, I said it. I actually said it.

I am EXTREMELY nervous and feel really anxious. I don't know how it is going to happen. I just know that every time I eat something I have to brush my teeth. And that I can't have Doritos. Are you serious? Can't have Doritos? You're kidding, right?

OK. I'll handle it.

As I said, I am very nervous and I am asking you to please pray for me.

Tomorrow I will write more about my braces.

Mouth Trauma: Part Three

Part three. Ready for it?

Here it is:

I had never ever gotten teeth pulled by the dentist. Co (My gradpa) had always pulled them.

But I knew that I had trouble coming when two of my permanent teeth were growing over my babies. When I had my usual cleaning Mom asked,

"So... What do we do about those teeth?"

"Well, we can remove them today."

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I had a slight feeling that they would get pulled that day, but my parents thought they would just schedule it for later. Nope. They pulled them that day, but let's back track.

We went back into the room where they pull teeth. They asked me if I wanted to watch Winn-Dixie or Tom and Jerry. Tom and Jerry, of course!! (Oh, by the way, we have TVs in the ceiling at our dentist). They gave me laughing gas and well... I laughed. As in, like, snorting. It was over like that and I was happy.

Stay tuned. Only two more days...

Mouth Trauma: Part Two

Last time on, Mouth Trauma: Princess tumbled down stairs.

Alright. Today I am going to tell you some more about my mouth trauma. Do you want the short version or the loooong version? I'll give you the short:

Last summer I played softball. I loved being the bat-boy...or bat-girl. My mom was always so nervous that the person waiting would swing and hit me. I wasn't nervous at all. My friend was at bat and I wasn't paying attention. The girl waiting (the coach's daughter) swung and BAM!!! Hit me on my front upper permanent tooth with the bat. Ouch.

Oh, and there's more!! :( Later on my tooth started to discolor. My mom took me to the dentist and they said that it might be dying and that I needed to go to a special dentist to probably get a root canal. Goody.

Ever since I have had to go to that "special dentist" every 3 months and check to see if it is dead or not. Oh, and no, I didn't get a root canal.

Another thing that doesn't have anything to do with the subject: Today my teacher gave me a bag of $105, but it was shredded.

Mouth Trauma: Part 1

OK. I told you yesterday that I have had the worst mouth trauma in the world. Today I'm going to tell you the first trauma. Here it goes (The short version):

When I was two years old I was on our front porch with my parents and I tumbled down the stairs, knocked two of my upper teeth into my gums. Oh, and then there was blood. Lots and lots of blood. As in my mom had to throw away the t-shirt she had on because it was covered in blood.

So, there you have it. Mouth trauma part one. Stay tuned for the next story

of...Mouth Trauma.

P.S. This has nothing to do with the subject, but today I went to Target and got a piggy bank for only one dollar.

Be Prepared

Starting tomorrow I am only posting about my mouth trauma. Not forever... only until Monday or Tuesday.

You won't meet anyone else with more mouth trauma than me. I have had 3 big (as in major) things go on in my mouth. If you read my mom's blog you will know what a few of them are.

"Princess, come eat your dinner!"

"Mom... I'm in the middle of my blog!"

"Princess, remember the rules!"

"I'll be right there, Mother!"

Adios.

I Am Now Dr. Princess

For a long time I have wanted to be a vet when I grow up. I still do... in a way. But, about a month ago my mom told me ALL a vet has to do. Now, I just want to play vet.

Last night I got out my new Animal Hospital set that I got for Christmas. It came with a rubber dog you could use as a patient. I use my Webkinz instead.

Ellie (my favorite Webkinz stuffed animal who is an elephant) had a rash on her neck and a broken leg and had to get a shot. She's all better now.

Then came Major (My Webkinz german sheperd.) He just needed a refill on his meds. He is very stressed out from his police work and is under the weather.

I had many more adventures in the vet work. If I tell any more it will give away one of my pets that I will soon tell about, so I will stop.

Oh, by the way, if your Webkinz is under the weather, give a shout to Dr. Princess.

My Reveiws

I will say that the new VeggieTales movie is a hit. It was a really funny movie. At one point they mentioned TiVo. Next thing you know they are talking about tea. Later there are Cheetos. OK. TiVo, tea, Cheetos. Snack time!!!

It is a great flick for kids 1-101. I guess you are not a kid if you are one hundred and one... anyway, this movie doesn't really follow a Bible story like most of the other VeggieTale movies. All I can say is that it is a four and a half star movie.

Once during the movie I was sitting in my mom's lap and I looked over to my left. In the row behind us there was a five year old girl leaning over my 'old' seat staring and smiling at me. Now how freaky is that?!

Well, Mom is calling. Guess I should go. I will write tomorrow.

VeggieTales!!!!!!

I will say that I absolutely LOVE VeggieTales. Yesterday they came out with a new movie called The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything, and I am happy to say that we are going to see it today! Yea! (Like My Ryhme!) This is the only thing that we have planned to do today.

So... Monday I will probably blog about the movie and how wacky it is.

Happy Birthday!!!

Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday dear Mama, Happy Birthday to you! And Many More...

I would like to dedicate this blog post to my mom. Today is her 34th birthday, so please post a comment on her blog, The Queen B, wishing her a happy birthday. I am not telling you that you have to, but it would make her feel happy. Right now she just feels old.

I am not telling you what her B-day present is because she doesn't know what it is yet. Infact... I don't even have it yet. I mean, I ordered it and everything its just that, well... its not here yet.

I have been thinking, and I would like to tell my mom a few things: Mom, I love you with all my heart. I wouldn't trade any mom for you. I know sometimes I'm not the best kid in the world ,but I think you are the best mom in the world. I love you sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much.

Happy Birthday Mama.

That Song

Yesterday I spent the whole day shredding 5,000,000 credit card applications. While I was shredding 5,000,000 credit card applications I watched Noggin. The little kid channel. As in, like, 1 year old kids.

As I watch Noggin, there is a sweet little song playing. After that I watch The Wonder Pets. Oh, there's that little song playing again! Then I watch Max & Ruby. Once again there's that "sweet" little song... I'm about to bust my head open!!! OK Princess. Calm down.

I finally decided to take a break and go online. I went to Noggin's website. Guess what?! That stupid song was on their website! I am going to freak out. I am still freaking out.

Is it possible to die from a song? I think I am slowly. Here's the song:

Everywhere I Go

Days are the sunniest, jokes are the funniest, rabbits are the bunniest, bee hives are the hiveyest, elephants are the wettyest, troubles are the runniest everywhere I go. Straws are the bendiest, time is the spendiest, cards are the sendiest, books are the lendiest, friends are the friendyest everywhere I go. Berries are the berriest, shoes are the shoeyest, puppies are the cutiest, treasure is the lootiest, teams are the rootiest, horns are the tootiest everywhere I go. Birds are the tweetiest, candy is the sweetiest, socks are the feetiest, tricks are the treatiest, drums are the beatiest, lunch is the eatiest everywhere I go. Flowers are the smelliest, jams are the jelliest, rain is the umbrelliest, tales are the telliest, wishing is the welliest, buttons are the belliest everywhere I go. Skys are the bluiest, cows are the mooiest, gum is the chewiest, ghosts are the booiest, goo is the gooiest, you can be your youiest everywhere I go!

See the misery?

Guitar Hero

Rock Out!! I would strongly recommend Guitar Hero for kids nine years and older. It is so much fun!

It takes strength, rhythm, and patience. Let's just say that the Queen B doesn't have any of these things. We take her to the practice session, let her pick her song, and she starts it... BOOM! She slams the guitar on the floor and walks out. After that I just tell her she's a sore loser and not fun to play with. Dad just laughs the whole time.

So... Dad- Good at GH; Princess- Good at GH; and Mom- Extremely Bad at GH.

No offense, Mom.

<<<<<<<*added later*>>>>>>>

Everyone who has Guitar Hero knows the last challenge that is on the easy setting. They also know that it's impossible to beat... well, not for a Princess!!!!!! I won!! WOO HOO!!! All I know is that it was very tough.
TIP: When ya mess up keep going.

Chloe... My First Pet & Cat

Chloe was my first pet and cat. She is 13 years old. She used to have a brother ,but he passed away. :(

She is a Himalayan (aka Color Point Persian). We took her to the vet the other day and they said she had something wrong with her eye. Poor girl.

Once I was sick and she sat by me the whole day. How sweet. She is so sweet that everytime I blog on my bed she's right there by me. Speaking of... she's right by me now. Has anyone ever had a cat that you will never forget? That's Chloe.

(I wonder if she will ever forgive us for buying Oliver? Probably not.)

Now it's time to tell the story of how we got her. More like how my Mom got her. My parents had just gotten married in December and it was about to be Mom's birthday, which in fact is coming VERY soon, and Dad had to find a gift for her. That's when he found Chloe and Murphy. He had asked his sisters to go and pick them up. Then, on her birthday she went to do a few things, came back and there were two little puff balls walking in the house. Yep, that's their story!

It Can't Be

I am the kind of person who would rather watch an older show like Full House than a new Disney Channel Original movie. I am non-stop watching an old tv classic. Not that I don't watch any new ones, but I do like the old shows better than the new ones. Some of them aren't even that old! My favorite shows are Full House, Brady Bunch, 7th Heaven, Little House on the Prairie, Saved By the Bell and a few others.

For Christmas I got Full House The Eighth Season. When I received it I started to read the back. It said... LAST SEASON!!!!!!!!!!!! How is this possible!!! So now, as I write this blog I watch the last season of Full House. I think I am going to cry, but I'll suck it up.

Hopefully I will soon stop crying about (sniff, sniff) The Last Season of Full House...

Life Is Sweet

Two words: American Girl.

I had the second best time of my life! OK... I have got to tell you the whole story. Yesterday morning I was about to blow with excitement. I immediately ran to the phone to call Mimi. (The Queen Mother). I told her to get up and get going. I got dressed and was ready to go. The only problem was... Mom and Dad weren't ready. I had to wait an hour for them. When they were done I called Mimi to see where she was running. She was still in bed. We decided to go on. Sorry Mimi.

We walked there. We walked in. I was freaking out. I went to the security person and asked,"Where's the doll hair salon?" She showed me where it was and I walked over there. We waited in line for a little bit. The suddenly Dad asked,"So, what is this all about?" Apparently he missed the whole idea of AG. We told him that there were the Historical dolls, the Just Like You dolls, and then the Girl of the Year. After that he understood. He was quite interested in Addy.

When we got up there I told the sweet lady I wanted the Ponytail Veil on Nicki. She told us to pick her up at 1:20 p.m. OK. Add to list of stuff to do: Pick up Nicki at 1:20.

Shopping time!!! I got the stuff on my wishlist and then Mimi came. I shopped a little more and was done.

I still had quite a bit of money left in my budget. I walked around and there she was. Julie. My mom's BFF. She was born the same year my mom was born so... she feels 'connected.' I counted my money. She's mine now. She is so cute! After that I went hunting for Julie's accessory kit. It came with her hat, necklace, purse, and a quarter.

Then we went to the second floor. It was the bistro part... and a little boutique. I found two things on my wishlist so I grabbed them and then I heard a calling for the Princess. I dropped them and ran to my mom. Turns out the AG people let us in early for lunch. The Queen also got me reservations for the bistro. The dolls each had their own chair they could sit in. It was so cute! The food was great, so I of course was happy. During the eating process Mom asked if I wanted to get Julie's hair done. YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After lunch I went to buy the two things I forgot. I went straight downstairs to get Julie's hair done. ( Thank Goodness for escalators!) We picked up Nicki and oh my word she was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cute.

Next: drop Julie off. This time I wanted to watch. We asked if we could drop her off and come back to watch. She said yes we could. So that's what we did. As the time passed, I was worried. What if they didn't understand that I wanted to watch? What if they are doing her now? These questions went through my mind as fast as time. Then it was time to go watch. I told a lady what we were there for. " ......Oh, I'm sorry she's already done." NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I was right! And not in a good way! The kind lady that told me this said that she would be glad to do it again. I told her no... she's already done. She said that the girl that did it didn't do it very good and she was going to do it again no matter what. Thank you sweet lady.

Now I am happy with my girls by my side and wishing you a Happy New Year!!
